About Us

A Joyful Place to Learn and Grow

Da Jhong Elementary sits in Dazhong Village, Bade District, with grand, spacious, and handsome buildings. Refined education is at our core: the campus is laid out as teaching, administration, sports, and leisure zones — calm and active spaces clearly separated, the grounds kept park-like — a place where children can explore with confidence and grow to their fullest.

Our History

The Da Jhong Story

To meet the economic prosperity, rapid population growth, and swift community development of the Danan urban-planning district in Bade — and to relieve the mounting enrollment pressure on the nearby Dacheng and Dayong elementary schools — the Taiwan Provincial Government approved the founding of the school by official letter on 27 June 1992, appointing Mr. Zhong Huang-hua as the first principal. The school formally began enrolling students in the 1994 school year.

On 1 February 1997, Principal Du Sheng-xiong took charge of school affairs. He actively shaped a fine learning environment, guided all teachers into professional development and innovation in materials and methods, and worked to raise teaching quality and effectiveness — encouraging students, through focused dedication, to grow into courteous, orderly, tidy, and diligent young people of their time.

Emblem Meaning

Hands · Book · Heart

Diligent study seeks truth, busy hands do good, and a loving heart embraces beauty — the pursuit of Da Jhong’s “Truth, Goodness, Beauty.” Reading sharpens wisdom, hands practice kindness, and confidence brings courage, cultivating the spirit of “wisdom, benevolence, and courage.”

With refined education as the center and the hidden curriculum as the radius, Da Jhong’s teachers design a humane learning haven that develops the five domains in balance: moral, intellectual, physical, social, and aesthetic.

Signature Course

Penmanship · Daily Practice

Penmanship is at the heart of our language education. We want children to recognize and write a large vocabulary during their elementary years, and to build good handwriting habits that serve them for life.

Our teachers develop their own integrated penmanship materials for grades 1 through 6, teaching regular, small-seal, and semi-cursive scripts step by step within Mandarin lessons to build a solid, well-rounded foundation. Each semester we hold a calligraphy exhibition so every child’s effort is seen.
